The World Championship Snowmobile Hill Climb
Four days of the steepest, fastest, most fearless racing on earth — where the world's best claw 1,574 vertical feet up Snow King's 45-degree face.

Since 1975, riders from across North America have gathered at the base of Snow King to attempt the impossible: a full-throttle sprint straight up a 45-degree wall of snow. Most don't make it. The few who summit earn their names in the history of the sport.
It's four days of qualifiers, finals, and the legendary King & Queen of the Hill — powered by hundreds of Snow Devils volunteers, with every dollar flowing back into the Jackson Hole community.

March 18–21, 2027
THURSDAY, MARCH 18: Semi-Pro, Women's, Junior and Exhibition Qualifying
- 8:00am
- Racer sign-in for Semi-Pro, Women's, Junior and Exhibition racers
- 9:30am
- Racing begins. All Semi-Pro, Women's, Junior and Exhibition classes qualify to the first catwalk.
- 2:00pm
- Racer sign-in for all Pro racers
FRIDAY, MARCH 19: Pro Stock and Pro Improved Stock Qualifying, plus Thursday Class Finals
- 7:00am
- Gates open
- 7:00am
- Drivers' meeting
- 7:30am
- Racing begins. All Pro Stock and Pro Improved Stock classes qualify to the first catwalk.
- After Pro qualifying
- Junior qualifiers from Thursday run their finals to the first catwalk.
- After the Junior finals
- a 45-minute break, then the Semi-Pro, Women's and Exhibition qualifiers from Thursday run their finals to Gate 22.
SATURDAY, MARCH 20: Mod Day!
- 7:00am

- Drivers' meeting
- 7:30am
- Racing begins. All Pro Mod classes qualify to the top of the mountain.
SUNDAY, MARCH 21: Finals Day
- 7:00am

- 7:00am

- Racing begins. All Pro qualifiers from Friday and Saturday race for the win in their classes. When the class finals are done, the Stock King, Improved King and Mod King runs begin, followed by King of the Hill.

Are tickets on sale yet?
Not quite. Tickets for the 2027 Hill Climb go on sale November 1, 2026. Sign up above and we’ll email you the moment they’re live.
Is the event family-friendly?
Absolutely. The Hill Climb is a Jackson Hole tradition for all ages, and kids 12 & under get in free with a ticketed adult.
What happens if there isn’t enough snow?
Racing depends on conditions. In rare cases — like 2026 — the event may be postponed or cancelled for safety. Ticket holders are notified directly with refund or transfer options.
Is there on-site parking?
Yes — free base-area lots with shuttle service on the busiest days. Carpool and arrive early for Saturday and Sunday finals.
Can I bring my dog?
We love dogs, but for their safety and everyone’s we ask that you leave pets at home. Service animals are always welcome.
