We are the Jackson Hole Snow Devils — riders, volunteers, locals, and legends. A volunteer-run nonprofit that has been climbing this mountain, and giving back to this valley, since 1964.

Our Mission

Fueling Adrenaline. Supporting Community.

The Snow Devils exist to keep snowmobiling alive, safe, and rooted in this community. We run the World Championship Snowmobile Hill Climb on Snow King Mountain — and we hand what it earns back to the valley that raised us.

There is no head office and no paid staff. Every sign hung, every gate worked, every scholarship awarded is the work of members who did it after their real jobs. That is the whole model, and it has held for six decades.

Every dollar the Hill Climb earns goes back into Jackson Hole — scholarships, safety, rescue, and the neighbors who need it. We are a fundraiser that happens to run a race.

Our History

From a Local Club to a World Championship

Six decades of riders who decided a 45-degree face was a reasonable thing to attempt.

1964

The Club Is Founded

The Jackson Hole Snow Devils are founded. The club has been riding, running events, and giving back to this valley every season since.

The Early Years

The Climb Takes Shape

Snow King’s 45-degree face becomes the club’s proving ground, and the climb becomes a fixture of the Jackson winter calendar.

Growing Up

A World Championship

The event carries the name it still holds today — the World Championship Snowmobile Hill Climb — and draws riders from across North America.

The Cause

Racing for Something

Proceeds are directed into scholarships, avalanche education, search & rescue, and children’s medical care — now more than $1.65 million given back in total.

Sixty Years On

More than 300 riders, four days of racing, ten thousand spectators, and over $1.65 million returned to the community. Still volunteer-run. Still the same mountain.

The Hill Climb

One Weekend Funds the Whole Year

The World Championship Hill Climb is the engine. Four days in March — 300-plus riders, ten thousand spectators, and hundreds of volunteers — generate nearly everything the club gives away in the twelve months that follow.

That is why the race matters beyond the results sheet. Buying a ticket, sponsoring a banner, or working a gate is how a scholarship gets funded.
